At the moment, AusNet are proposing a Dual 500kV High Voltage Transmission Line between Ballarat and Sydenham. However if this line is commissioned and the easements are accepted as ‘the Western Corridor’, all future expansion projects are likely to apply for additional easements directly adjacent to these. This will result in multiple towers all running in parallel along the same route.
